Homework Tutoring

    • Our program accommodates the Stanley G. Oswalt Academy school year calendar.

After-school Homework Tutoring Program:

    • Provide Homework Help daily after-school to ensure homework accuracy, completeness and understanding.
    • Assist on difficult homework assignments to help students understand the concepts.
    • Instill structure and guidance in a studious classroom environment.
    • Teach students studying skills needed to succeed: We teach students to stay organized with their work, pay attention to details, follow a routine, double check their answers, and take accountability for their own work.

Our after-school Homework Tutoring program supports students through tough homework assignments, and ensure that each student understands the homework concepts. We provide structure and guidance in a studious classroom environment.

Our Homework Tutors are well-trained, college-enrolled students with a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Majority of our tutors are studying to be teachers or are math majors. Our tutors follow a structured routine in the classroom to ensure each student’s daily homework assignment is reviewed for completeness and accuracy.

Our staff works closely with the teachers at Stanley G. Oswalt. Tutors are encouraged to follow up with teachers to get more information on students’ assignments, progress, or more details on how to better improve students’ grades.

After-school Programs:

KinderTime – 1 hour

• Pick up Kinders from classroom
• Help students with homework
• Group reading (reading log)
• iPad assignments (RazKids Reading, ST Math, BrainPop, etc.)
• Practice writing & penmanship

 1:40pm – 2:40pm $190 / month
KinderTime – 2 hours 1:40pm – 4:00pm $350 / month
KinderTime & Chinese – 2 hours 1:40pm – 2:40pm (KinderTime)
3:00pm – 4:00pm (Chinese)		 $380 / month
Homework Tutoring – 2 hours

Provide homework tutoring daily on difficult assignments, teach concepts, & ensure accuracy and completeness.

 3:00pm – 5:00pm $350 / month
Homework Tutoring & Chinese – 2 hours 3:00pm – 4:00pm (Chinese)
4:00pm – 5:00pm (Homework)		 $380 / month
Homework Tutoring – 3 hours 3:00pm – 6:00pm $430 / month
Homework Tutoring & Chinese – 3 hours 3:00pm – 4:00pm (Chinese)
4:00pm – 6:00pm (Homework)		 $450 / month
Art Class (Mondays) – 1.5 hour

Develop fine motor & cognitive skills, learn to listen & follow directions. Design unique creations with a variety of fun materials.

 Mondays: 1:45pm – 3:15pm $270 / Class (10 sessions)

 

Please note the following fees that may apply:

  • Registration Fee:   $50 / per family (applies to new students only)
  • Annual Material Fees:  $70 / student (per school year)
    • Chinese Class:  + $30 / student (Chinese workbooks)
  • Monday Short-Days:   +$9 / Monday (dismissal @ 1:40pm)
  • Early Dismissals:   +$18 / early dismissal day (dismissal @ 12:40pm)
