Have questions regarding our after school program? Below are some frequently asked questions:

 How do Monday short-days or early dismissals work?

Short-days/early dismissals are optional. If students will NOT be staying during for the short-day or early dismissal, you do not need to pay this fee. For example, if students have Chess Masters, Mad Science, etc. on Mondays, then you do not need to pay the Monday short-day fee.

For Monday short-days, we charge $5/short-day to account for the extra hour (1:40pm-2:40pm). For example, if there are 4 Mondays in the month, we will charge $20 extra that month.

For occasional early dismissals (parent/teacher conference, etc.), we charge $5/extra hour. If students are dismissed at 12:40pm, we will charge $10 for that early dismissal day.

During the short-day/early dismissal, students will resume standard classroom tutoring for the extra hour(s).

Short-day/early dismissal fees are additional to the monthly tuition. As long as the student stays during the short-day period (1:40pm-2:40pm), we will require the short-day fee.

 What is your billing structure?

Our billing is on a monthly cycle, starting from the 1st of every month. At the end of the month, we will send an invoice for the upcoming month.

Since billing is monthly, parents have the flexibility to adjust hours needed on a monthly basis (e.g. 1 Hour this month, 2 Hours next month, etc.).

 Can I enroll / un-enroll at anytime?

Our enrollment is open year-round. You can enroll at anytime. If you are enrolling in the middle of the month, we will prorate the monthly tuition for you.

You can un-enroll, and re-enroll at anytime in the year. The registration fee ($30) that you pay during enrollment maintains your account permanently. This allows you to enroll/un-enroll/re-enroll anytime.

Please note: We only offer refunds within the first 7 days after payment is received. If you are un-enrolling in the middle of the month, we will not be able to offer a refund.

 Can unattended / absent days be credited back?

Our monthly tuition is discounted, and takes into account sick/absent days already. Absent days or unattended class-time cannot be refunded or credited back. There is no refund or credits provided for students that are picked up early.

As always, please feel free to discuss with us. We try our best to be flexible and accommodating. We would be happy to help you with your planning.

 Are school breaks / holidays pro-rated?

Yes – for months with less than 17 school days, we prorate the tuition to accommodate the shorter school month. For example, Winter Break, we typically prorate for both December and January for the 3 week break.

For shorter school holidays (Memorial Day, Labor Day, etc.), we still go by the monthly tuition.

Note: We use the average of 20 school days per month to calculate the monthly tuition rate. This average takes into account shorter school months (holidays or school breaks), as well as longer school months with more than 20 school days. 

 What do students do when they finish their homework?

Kinders: When students are done with their homework, we will read 2-3 books with them daily, and work on sight words with them. During KinderTime (1:40pm-2:40pm), students will also work on RazKids or SplashMath on iPads as part of their school assignment.

All Grades: When students are finished with their homework, we encourage them to read or study for upcoming tests. If students have Kumon homework, we can help them with this as well. Parents can also supply additional workbooks for after-school.

If there is additional downtime, kids can also play board games that we have in the classroom during their free time.

Please let us know if there are specific subjects or areas that your child needs extra help on (math, reading, etc.).

 Can I add extra hours for certain days occasionally?

Yes, extra hours are $7/hour.

Please let us know at least a day in advance if you are adding an extra hour for the next day. Extra hours will be added on to the next upcoming invoice. Note: For adding extra hours, the earlier the notice, the more helpful it is for us! 

 What happens if I cannot pick-up on time on a certain day?

If possible, let us know the day before if you expect to be picking up late. We can add an extra hour for that day ($7/extra hour).

There is a 10 minute grace period for pickup. After the first 10 minutes, we do charge a $10 late fee per every 15 minutes late.
